My DVR Moment of the Week, 3/18/2010

So many to choose from, but hands down, the moment goes to the return of Glee and the amazing Jane Lynch. Her performance of "Vogue" may not have had much to do with the plot (more connected to this week's "Power of Madonna" episode), but that didn't make it any less fun.




Runner-Up:The return of the "Evil Will Wheaton" on The Big Bang Theory. His manipulations caused Penny to break up with Leonard, leading the boys to lose a bet with Stuart and appear in Superheroine drag at the Comic Book Store. When I saw the picture of Raj as Catwoman, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. His empowered line was one of the best in the entire episode.



Second Runner-up: Drunk Stefan on the Vampire Diaries. Too bad it didn't cure the urge to feed. And an memo to the producers: You've just got David Anders. Don't you dare mess it up like Heroes did.

Missed Moment: I'm still behind on Project Runway. The finale is this week, so I better catch up fast.

Glee's Sue Sylvester's Vogue

Did you miss Sue's awesome rendition of "Vogue" on tonights episode of Glee, well here's your chance to view it. And if you did catch it, you can enjoy it one more time. I'm so glad it's back. I can't wait for more. I'm such a Gleek.

Update: NPH Will Guest Star on Glee

Ok Gleeks, hold your breath, Neil Patrick Harris has been confirmed as a guest star on an upcoming episode of Glee! Details have not been released, however it appears he will only be in one episode. Early reports suggested he would team up once again with Joss Whedon, however that particular detail has not been confirmed. I'm too excited to type, so if you want more details, click here. Hopefully I'll catch my breath in time to say something else.

Update on Neil Patrick Harris' Glee Appearance

Just caught this off of Michael Aussiello's EW blog: it appears that CBS has signed off on the deal that will allow NPH to strut his stuff with our favorite rag tag group of rising stars. Although nothing is truly final yet, this is one major roadblock lifted that gets us one step closer. All together now: Hip Hip Hooray!!!!

Neil Patrick Harris to Guest Star on Glee!

Oh please let this be true, please let it be true! According to the TVGuide article I read, Neil Patrick Harris is in talks with Ryan Murphy to be a guest star on the Golden Globe winning comedy in a episode to be directed by Joss Whedon(Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Dollhouse.) The legend, wait for it, -ary Barney Stinson would have a role especially created for him, which would include singing and dancing (naturally). Whedon and Harris previously worked on the popular internet Musical Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

Anyone who doubts Harris' ability need only watch his latest musical performance, which if you haven't seen you can view below.

Glee recieves Golden Globe for Best Comedy

Gleeks everywhere unite!! Glee has just received the Golden Globe for Best Comedy Series. A very well deserved win, in my opinion, and as producer Ryan Murphy put it (or something like it), a win for anyone who has ever recieved a wedgie.

Another well deserved win tonight was Juliana Marguiles for The Good Wife. An excellent actress on an excellent show, how could she not get it?

Glee Open Audition Information

Hopeful Gleeks certainly have something to shout about (I've already used sing twice, and didn't want to be redundant.)As I mentioned in a previous post, the creators of Glee will hold an open casting call for three new roles for the shows second season. According to the Glee Homepage, auditions will begin sometime in February for people between the ages of 16-26, and everyone will be able to submit their auditions online. Fox renews Glee for a second season

First the Carrie Underwood news, and now this: Fox orders second season of Glee as per Variety. Not only will it be back, but an open audition will be held for three new roles. This means everyone from veterans to amateurs will have a chance to compete for a spot on the show. So start practicing guys, it will be intense.

Glee returns in April with new episodes.

Glee cast to visit Cleveland

You knew it was only a matter of time for one of Seth McFarlane's animated comedies to get their hands on my faves at Glee, and now it's offical: the Glee cast will make an appearance on The Cleveland Show.
