My DVR Moment of the Week

This week goes to American Idol's Michael Lynche for continuing (imo) to dominate the men. His performance was very moving, and really showed that unique balance of talent and performance that should be required of all Idols.

Runner Up: Gabrielle Carteris  on this weeks Criminal Minds. Though the episode was normal CM antics (crazy person abducts, the team assembles a profile, they spring into action before it's too late) what distinguishes this one is the former original 90210 cast member utters the line "I was in high school once," while driving with her daughter in the car. If that isn't a nod, I don't know what is.

Missed Moment: J'Lo on How I Met Your Mother. I've heard both good and bad things, but for anyone that reads this, you know I always like to see for myself.

Criminal Minds Spin-off Casting News

They've added one more person to talk in succession: Beau Garrett Cast in Criminal Minds Spin-off.

I'm not too familiar with her, so I really can't comment on what I think. However, Ms. Garrett has been in some pretty major stuff (not to mention the upcoming Tron Legacy), which means this could show promise. Let's just hope she can keep up with Forest Whitaker, who had been previously cast.

I don't know about you, but I think the real news will be when they start casting for Two and a Half Men: Austin, TX. What do you think?

Forest Whitaker set to star in Criminal Minds spinoff

Oscar winner Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) is in final negotiations to star in the Criminal Minds spin-off, as per TVGuide. The new cast will be introduced this spring on the original CM, and I'm assuming it will take twice as long since it will have double the cast to explain the profile one at a time. Has anyone noticed that as well? I enjoy the show, but that is the only thing I can never get over.
