Brett Michael's on Idol?

Something interesting I found on TVGuide.com: 60 percent of people polled believe Bret Michaels should replace Simon Cowell on American Idol. Now, I like Brett, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I was a big Poison fan back in the day, but I'm not sure this is a good idea. In the past few months, Michaels has suffered from appendicitis, a brain hemorrhage, and a stroke. I think some higher power might be trying to tell him something. I don't doubt he has plenty of advice to offer. He's been a performer for nearly two decades, and can offer words on music and performance. But he does have children to think about, and I think they need him more than Idol does. However, I do shudder to think of the alternatives.

What do you think?

Vampire Diaries Recap: Founder's Day

Well everyone, it finally came. The Vampire Diaries has finally reached the end of it's first season. Many characters have come and gone (Pearl, Vicky), and tonight was no exception. Was it worth the wait? Well, read on to find out.

It's Founder's Day in Mystic Falls, and after a misleading intro, we see Elena and Stefan in old fashioned clothing (and pulling it off by the way) on their way to the parade. Jeremy is too, but not after a visit from Ana. She is feeling alone (who can blame her after her mother has just been killed) and asks Jeremy to leave town with her. She gives him a vial of her blood and asks him to drink it so she can turn him. He refuses, and she leaves just as quickly as she came in.

Jeremy is still pissed with Elena, and refuses to let her make things right. Stefan and Damon are having their own little squabble as well, with Damon's feelings for Elena coming into question.  Add Elena finding out the uncle she's hated for so long is really her father, and you've got one really tense situation.

True Blood Bewere Poster

Well folks, here it is, the eighth poster in the True Blood series. I love this one, it's simple, but haunting. Foreshadowing of things to come? My favorite part: the misspelling of beware.

Saturday Night Live: Betty White Recap

Well, it finally arrived. After a wildly popular Facebook campaign, Betty White's episode finally aired. White was joined by former SNL cast members for a special Mother's Day event. Was it worth the wait? Read on.(I'll only touch on the things I found the best of the episode).

Monologue: Future hosts take note: This is how it's done. No awkward moments, no silly musical numbers. Simply one nicely timed one liner after another. The highlight: Betty's take on Facebook, which she thanked in her own special way, jokingly referring to the social networking site as a complete waste of time.

Moonlight heads to CW

Good news Moonlight (and Alex O'Loughlin fans), though probably not the kind you were hoping for. The CW is going to start airing repeats of Moonlight this summer after the Vampire Diaries. Read more about it here at TheTwoCents.com

Elaine Stritch Interview

It's been a busy week, which is why I haven't posted anything in a while. But trust, it was worth it. Take a look at this interview I did for TheTwoCents.com with Elaine Stritch, that fabulous Broadway, Television, and Film actress.

I don't want to give too much away, but I must say, she is a laugh riot, as well as very insightful. If I never do another interview again, I'm really glad I go to do this one.

Lea Michele Named One of Time's 100 Most Influential

Here is a story I did on Lea Michele being placed on Time's Annual List, which you can find at The TwoCents.com.

Update

In case anyone has been wondering (all two of you), I haven't been posting as frequently. Well, the reason behind that is I have been volunteering to write T.V. related news for TheTwocents.com. It's been a great experience, and I hope to continue for a while. However, I will be posting new stuff here, as well as link to any news that I am writing for them as well.

Dancing with the Stars Sixth Elimination

I knew it was his week to go, but it was still pretty sad to see Jake Pavelka say goodbye on Dancing with the Stars. For me, this one was kind of a nailbiter, especially with Niecy and Louie as the other half of the bottom two. I didn't for once believe Evan and Anna were in any real jeopardy. Even with one bad dance,  I think they have built enough of a fan base to pull them through. But I guess it heightens the suspense. I'm just glad Pamela and Damien got an extra week. I'm looking forward to seeing the kind of Samba they come up with though. But this is Jake's moment, and I've decided to pay tribute by showing my favorite dance of his. I'm sure you can guess which one : )

What do you think? Should Jake have gone home? Or was it Niecy's time?

Kate Gosselin's Children Allowed to Appear on TLC's Specials

She may have lost Dancing with the Stars, but she's still winning out. TVGuide reports that Gosselin's children have been cleared to appear on a series of specials on TLC, titled Kate Plus 8. This comes after state regulators ruled that labor permits should have been obtained for Gosselin's previous show, Jon & Kate Plus 8. No legal action was taken, however the producers agreed to apply for permits for any future tapings and specials. What do you think? Should the kids be back on T.V.? Or should they try to live a normal life from now on?

Blast from the Past

The news about Bret Michaels really affected me, especially since I am not afraid to admit I was a big Poison fan back in the day. In fact, one of my fondest memories is performing "Nothing but a Good Time" for one of my talent shows. Because I don't have a copy of that one (nor will I ever), I've decided to post the original, which I'm sure you would enjoy more. Get well soon Brett! My thoughts are with you.

Brett Michaels in Critical Condition

Former Poison lead singer and Rock of Love star Bret Michaels is in critical condition following a massive brain hemorrhage, reports Usmagazine.com. Michaels is currently in Intensive Care and will receive additional testing to determine what caused the massive bleeding in the brain. No further information can be given until more tests have been completed, confirms Michaels’ rep This is the second time this month the Celebrity Apprentice star has faced a medical emergency. On April 12, Michaels canceled several appearances due to severe stomach pains, which led to an emergency appendectomy.

The New Adventures of Old Christine and the Prius, pt. 2

Not to beat a dead horse, but I found this article that I thought this was a bit interesting: Toyota, behind the wheel

Basically it says the reason why the Prius is so prominently featured on the show, among others, is because producers want them there.Take a look and tell me what you think.

True Blood's Missing Poster

The fifth in the series of collectible posters from True Blood is a clever play on the Missing Persons Milk Carton ads. If you remember, Bill was abducted in the season finale, which will take Sookie on a journey to find him. I guess based on the bottle, she is not taking any chances. This is by far my favorite, and hope the rest are this creative.

The New Adventures of Old Christine and the Prius

What do a CBS sitcom that I enjoy and Toyota have in common? They combined their efforts to make the worst product placement this side of Heroes (anyone remember the Nissan Versa and Rogue fitting prominently into the plot?) Okay, I realize it's going to happen, and even my favorite shows, which this one is, won't escape it. But it makes my heart sink to see a big Toyota-thon banner in the background, especially knowing that it is a real event. But you know what, I might have let that slip. However, once the salesman went on about the new features in the Prius, I knew I just couldn't take anymore. Thank goodness for the scenes with Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Eric McCormack, or else the entire episode would have been lost. If only Wanda Sykes was there. I probably wouldn't have even noticed.

It's not that I am against advertising. I do understand it's purpose, but sometimes it can be overkill. Take going to the movies. Not only do we have to sit through previews (which I actually do enjoy) but for the past few years commercials have taken up valuable time as well.

If you think about it, I guess advertisers feel they no longer have a choice, especially after the invention of the DVR. People can basically skip commercials now, which are a big part of advertising. Although I understand, I don't necessarily agree. People watch T.V. to relax, and that can't happen if the good storytelling takes a back seat to sales. So please, networks and advertisers, listen to your viewers. Cut back on the lame product placements and focus more on putting out a quality product. In these tough times, it's the least you can do.

Dancing with the Stars 5th Elimination

Before we get to the elimination, I thought I would start with my encore dance choice, and I'm glad the judges agreed: Jake and Chelsea's Cha Cha to Risky Business

Wow, for the first time fan favorite (Tom's words, not mine) Kate Gosselin is in the bottom two. Chad and Cheryl, Pamela and Damien, as well Jake and Chelsea (I guess dancing without pants didn't work. With a body like that, color me shocked) were put in jeopardy. Thankfully, Jake and Chelsea were safe along with Chad and Cheryl, which put Pamela and Damien in the bottom two with Kate and Tony. So who did America send home? Surprise of surprises, Kate and Tony are leaving the dance floor. Putting my feelings of her aside, this was actually a very touching send off. Because of that, I think I will actually keep my snarky comments to myself for once. Well, until she shows up somewhere else. Then all bets are off.

VH1 Getting Back to Basics

The God's must have heard our prayers: VH1's new lineup has more music, less reality. Favorites such as VH1 Divas and Behind the Music will make a return, as well as Storytellers. Though I must admit the cheesiness of guilty pleasures Tool Academy and Charm School reeled me in, I really am glad to see them going back to their roots.Too many reality shows have popped up recently, and even if some have some great entertainment value (Project Runway, Amazing Race, Survivor), the majority, especially those on MTV and VH1, have done nothing but serve as spring board for people trying to get famous without actually working for it (although, pretending you are into flavor flav might be harder than it looks). That said, I certainly hope MTV also follows this trend. However, given that they dropped the "Music" from their logo, I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Does anyone know if MTV2 still exists, or has that gone the way or reality as well?

Dancing with the Stars Recap, 3/19/2010

It's movie night tonight. Hopefully that brings out the joy in some of the stars.

Niecy and Louie- La Bamba-Jive

The dancing seems a little slow for a jive, but she is shaking it with all she’s got. I’ve her energy and spirit. Plus it doesn’t hurt to live your lips on Len’s forehead. Len says she put her personality into it. Bruno felt it lacked the necessary sharpness, but awww, Louie took the blame. That’s sweet. Carrie-Ann called her the shimmy queen.

Score: 18 (booooo goes the crowd. I’m with them)

Chad and Cheryl- The Jungle Book – Quickstep

The song makes me wonder if the Jungle Book will be coming out of the Disney vault. Chad seems more relaxed to me, as if he is having more fun. Bruno says it was a bit too wild and his frame was terrible. Carrie-Ann said he was uneven and lacked body contact. Len said he thought his posture was better than his Foxtrot, but commented on his hold.

Score: 18

Erin and Maks – Pulp Fiction-Jive

She’s got that Uma look down, I just wish they had given her a black wig. I think ths is a definite step up from her tango. She looks calmer, and that makes for a fun dance. Carrie-Ann liked it, but said she was a little ahead of the beat. Len hated the beginning, but liked it once it kicked into high gear. Bruno mumbled something I didn’t understand, but said it was her best timing yet. On a side note, romance will not be in the air until Erin sees a ring like the one Chad got Cheryl. Hmmmmm…..

Score: 22

Jake and Chelsea-Risky Business- Cha Cha

Jaws just dropped across America: Jake in tightie whities. Man, the fun is just infectious tonight. Some parts were good, some parts seemed like he was walking. But I’m still thinking of that beginning. Len says he gave it his all, and loved his feeling, but noticed his mistake. Bruno wonders why he put his pants back on, and complimented his energy, but mentions that mistake as well. Carrie-Ann loved it (surprise surprise)

Score: 23 (I wonder if his thighs had anything to do with it)

Pamela and Damien- 9 to 5- Quickstep

I’m loving the Dolly Parton look. This one starts slow for me (Len will probably hate it), but really picks up. Bruno compliments her characterization and says she did a great job with the dance. Carrie-Ann loved the dance, and thinks Pam belongs on Broadway. Len, hated the beginning (surprise) but liked the bits of dancing.

Score: 21

Kate and Tony – The Breakfast Club- Foxtrot

I see some stuff, but she’s still so stiff and anxious it’s hard to see any improvement. Carrie-Ann sees itty bitty bits of grace forming, but compares her to the Charlie Brown teacher. Len thought it was clean, but it was more of a stroll. Bruno thought she took a step back.

Score: 15

Nicole and Derek – Pretty Woman – Tango

I think it’s safe to say Nicole is back. It was fun, energetic, and from my inexperienced eye, looked pretty spot on. Standing ovation well deserved. Len thought it was her best dance, and the best dance of the season . Bruno said a lot of words, but I think I heard perfection somewhere. Carrie-Ann calls her a superstar, and says it was beautiful.

Score: 29 (Damn you Len, with your 9)

Evan and Anna –Armageddon- Rumba

His height affects some of the movement for me, but you can clearly see how skating helps some of his moves. Bruno thinks it’s superb. Carrie-Ann thinks there was beauty in the movement. Len felt it had artistry and musicality and felt he did a great job.

Score: 27

True Blood's Be True Poster

The fourth in a series of posters for True Blood fans depicts some of the forms our favorite shifter Sam has taken these past two seasons (my favorite is being the literal fly on the wall.) This is by far my favorite, only because I wish I could do the same thing. Maybe one day. *Sigh*

My DVR Moment of the Week, 3/18/2010

So many to choose from, but hands down, the moment goes to the return of Glee and the amazing Jane Lynch. Her performance of "Vogue" may not have had much to do with the plot (more connected to this week's "Power of Madonna" episode), but that didn't make it any less fun.

Runner-Up:
The return of the "Evil Will Wheaton" on The Big Bang Theory. His manipulations caused Penny to break up with Leonard, leading the boys to lose a bet with Stuart and appear in Superheroine drag at the Comic Book Store. When I saw the picture of Raj as Catwoman, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. His empowered line was one of the best in the entire episode.

Second Runner-up: Drunk Stefan on the Vampire Diaries. Too bad it didn't cure the urge to feed. And an memo to the producers: You've just got David Anders. Don't you dare mess it up like Heroes did.

Missed Moment:
I'm still behind on Project Runway. The finale is this week, so I better catch up fast.

Blast from the Past: Pac-Man

For those who weren't sure how big the video game phenomenon known as Pac-Man was, look no further than this 80's cartoon based on the hungry little fellow. This was another Hanna-Barbera variation on the family unit (such as the Flintstones and the Jetsons), but with a Pac-Man twist, having Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and even baby Pac-man taking the place of Fred, Wilma, and Pebbles. Fun fact, this aired back to back with former blast from the past entry Rubik, the Amazing cube. Take a look at the intro and enjoy.

American Idol Elimination Mini-Recap

I haven't been too into this season of Idol, but since Adam Lambert was performing, I thought I would give it a chance again. However, once the opening lip sync began, I hit the fast forward until that awesome green laser cone surrounded Lambert, who totally rocked a re-worked version of Whaddaya Want from Me for an enthusiastic audience. As far as the two that went home, Michael Lynch was spared another week (good job America), which left Katie Stevens and Andrew Garcia the ones to go home. Tim Urban must have made some deal with a higher power. What do you think? Did the right ones go home?

Dancing with the Stars Elimination 4/13/2010

Well, Kate Gosselin has been given a pass for another week. Like I've said before (not sure if here, but I might have) I'm not a fan, but she did show some improvement over her past dances. Aiden, who was sent home, took a few steps back. He was handsome and charming, however his movements were very stiff. Couple that with a smaller fan base than Kate's (although I would have thought his would have grown over the course of the show. With his face and smile, how could it not have not)and well, you know the rest. I'm sure Kate can still improve, but will it really be enough to stay? Do you think she should have gone home instead of Aiden? Also, did anyone notice they used not one, but TWO Idol contestant songs: Adam Lambert's For Your Entertainment and Kris Allen's Live Like Your Dying? Hmmm, is that a shot at beating them in the ratings? Or a coincidence? Comment away!

Glee's Sue Sylvester's Vogue

Did you miss Sue's awesome rendition of "Vogue" on tonights episode of Glee, well here's your chance to view it. And if you did catch it, you can enjoy it one more time. I'm so glad it's back. I can't wait for more. I'm such a Gleek.

My Dancing with the Stars Twitter Recap

I decided to Tweet the entire time I watched, so I thought I would share them as a recap. Unfortunately it is in reverse order, so you'll have to start at the bottom. Let me know what you think. Some thoughts that weren't on Twitter: The band really butchered Adam Lambert's For Your Entertainment. Hmmm, I guess that was the only one.

tvguy956: Pamela Anderson also had her best dance. Sexy and beautiful. It was magic. 47 out of 60.

tvguy956: Len told Pamela to keep it out of the bedroom. With that outfit, I'm sure that's all anyone can picture.
Tuesday, April 13, 2010 12:32 AM

tvguy956: That's some ring on Cheryl's finger. Chad has some taste.

tvguy956: Chad just did his best dance so far as well. Long way to go as well, but he's also headed the right way.

tvguy956: Kate got a 32 out of 60. Higher than expected.

tvguy956: What I mean is she was actually MOVING. Good job. Now work on the technique. Long way to go, but a step in the right direction.

tvguy956: I will hand it to Kate this once, I think she fought hard this week.

tvguy956: OMG, did Tony just bring Jon into it????

tvguy956: Again, the judging was wrong!!!! Len is so grumpy.

tvguy956: Nicole may be considered a "ringer," but she is so elegant to watch.

tvguy956: I have never disagreed with the judges more than now. I thought Niecy did a beautiful job.

tvguy956: I just love Neicy Nash.

tvguy956: No one spoil it for me please!!!

tvguy956: Watching DWTS, Evan got 52 out of 60 for an awesome performance.

True Blood: Who's that with Jason Stackhouse?

In this latest installment of the waiting sucks series, we see our favorite studly "man-whore" Jason Stackhouse sharing a late night smooch (and I'm sure more) with another young lady. Who is she? I'm not sure, but I'm sure a whole bunch of people wish it were them instead.

Conan O'Brien finds a home on TBS

It's official, Coco has found on a new home. Conan O'Brien's yet to be titled new late night talk show is set to debut on TBS in November after the World Series in the 11/10c time slot. He will be followed by George Lopez's Lopez Tonight. O'Brien entered negotiations after being personally asked by Lopez to join the TBS late-night line-up, according to the article I read on TVGuide. Until then, O'Brien is going on a national tour and can still be found on Twitter. This is a very happy end to a long, tiresome debacle, and I'm glad to see everything worked out.

My DVR Moment of the Week

Well, I never said my top moments were always going to be what was the best on T.V. Case in point: Kate Gosselin's odd (and not in a good way) performance on this weeks Dancing With the Stars. The song choice (Lady Gaga's Paparazzi)  was pure inspiration, since it's a subject Kate faces on a daily basis, however she was just unable to channel that emotion into anything worth watching. She did get another week, so maybe she'll finally get her act together. But I honestly doubt it.

Runner up: Never one to pass up an opportunity, Jimmy Fallon Parodies Kate's dance.

Missed Moment:
Tina Fey brings back her Sarah Palin impersonation on SNL. I could kick myself for missing this.

Jimmy Fallon's Paparazzi Interpretation

Man, they should have had Jimmy Fallon on this seasons Dancing With the Stars! Watch as he parodies  Kate Gosselin's Paparazzi dance. The only problem: He is still using too much emotion and movement, even with his stiff interpretation. Have a look. If you can't view it, click here.

Designing Women Star Dixie Carter Passes Away

Dixie Carter, better known as Julia Sugarbaker from TV's Designing Women has passed away. She was70 years old.

Her publicist confirms that she died Saturday morning, but would not disclose the cause. Carter was also known for her Broadway performances, and often featured her beautiful signing voice on Designing Women. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Hal Hallbrook.

Carter's character Julia was known for her very passionate, "terminator" style speeches, and none were more intense than "The Nights went out in Georgia" speech given in defense of her sister, Suzanne. If you've never seen Dixie Carter in action, then this would be the scene to start. R.I.P. Dixie, you will be missed.

Update on Dixie Carter.

True Blood: Eric Video

I can't believe I missed this one:

True Blood Get Your Fill

Here's the third in the True Blood poster series. This one reminds with me of the Cup of Joe, with blood being in a water cooler instead of a coffee pot. I don't know, they are starting to grow on me. What do you think?

American Idol: Big Mike gets saved

In a shocking turn of events last night, Michael "Big Mike" Lynche ended up in the bottom three, and was ultimately the one contestant revealed to have the lowest number of votes. However, thanks to the controversial judges save, Lynche was able to perform "This Woman's Work" (arguably his best performance to date) and wowed them enough to remain in the competition. What do you think? Should Big Mike have been saved? Or should he have gone home?

Dancing with the Stars Second Elimination, 4/6/2010

I'm not as shocked as last week, since one of the bottom two made sense, but my jaw still slightly fell. The reason: Kate was still safe, and Jake made the bottom two. At least Pamela Anderson didn't fall to the bottom like last week. Buzz being there made sense. He had joy, but absolutely no technique. Kate, on the other hand, had absolutely no joy or technique. But that is the way America voted, and in the end, it was Buzz and Ashely to go home. Although I agree with this, I still would have picked Kate over him just for the fact that I didn't feel so awkward after watching Buzz dance the way I did with Kate. In fact, I sometimes smiled. Not because he did well, but it looked like he was having fun. So what do you think? Did the right person go home?

Adam Lambert to perform and mentor on Idol

Wow, what a difference a year makes. As previously posted, Adam Lambert was scheduled to perform on American Idol, however Lambert has confirmed via his Twitter page that he will also serve as a mentor to the remaining top eight next week. He also promises he will be on his best, family friendly behavior (damn, where's the fun in that.)

I know what you are thinking: How can someone who hasn't been around that long possibly serve as a mentor. I think in this case it makes sense. Lambert has had a very interesting year, and after his AMA performance, can probably give tips on what not to do. I think he'll do a fine job. What do you all think?

True Blood: Who's Attacking Tara

As part of the waiting sucks campaign, True Blood creators released this new video of Tara in danger. Man, these little teasers are making it hard to get through the next few months.

Dancing with the Stars Mini-Recap

The Stars and Pros were asked to create a story through dance without the stuff that makes Len angry. Did anyone succeed? Let's find out.

Evan and Ana - Quickstep
I enjoy watching Evan dance, and he didn't disappoint. I do agree with Len. He does wonderful work, but needs to work on polishing up a bit.
Score: 26

Buzz and Ashley- Waltz
Buzz has oodles of personality, and there was something very elegant about this dance. I enjoyed it, but not for the technical aspects, which unfortunately are not there.
Score: 13

Jake and Chelsie- Quickstep

I love the song, Walk Like an Egyptian, and it somehow worked for the quickstep. I was a little bored, but I loved the prop use.
Score: 21

Neicy and Louis- Waltz
I love watching her dance, and this was no exception. Except for a minor stumble, she was elegant, and managed to tell the story without a large prop.
Score: 21

Chad and Cheryl- Paso Doble
He had fire, but still needs to work on his moves. It was a an improvement though. Hopefully Cheryl can work her magic.
Score: 20

Pamela and Damien- Paso Doble
How she ended up in the bottom two last week is beyond me. And if she ends up there again with this dance, then something is definitely wrong. She had fire, passion, and technique. Not a bad combination.
Score: 21

Aiden and Edyta- Quickstep
He has improved, but is still a bit stiff out there. He is moving in the right direction though.
Score: 20

Erin and Maks- Waltz
She did a blindfolded waltz (though some of my friends thought they saw two holes in the eyes) and really put her trust in Maks. I thought it was well done, and think she is really moving up as a contender.
Score: 23

Kate and Tony - Paso Doble
It was a great song choice, but the emotion just wasn't there. I would have assumed singing about the Paparazzi would have ignited something, but maybe her nerves are still getting to her. Like Carrie Ann, I was a little weirded out watching it.
Score: 15

Nicole and Derek- Quickstep
It was bouncy, fun, and wonderful to watch. Too bad it wasn't a quickstep. Derek, what were you thinking?
Score:23

My DVR Moment of the Week

There are so many reasons to love The Vampire Diaries, but they have just given me one more: Kelly Hu as Pearl. Here I thought Bonnie's Grams was the only person that could bring Damon to his knees "I've got 400 years on you, little boy," she sneers right before gouging his eyes with her fingers. She's right, she does have more power, but so did Lexie, and we all know what happened to her(if you don't, I suggest you check out the "169 Candles" episode.) Mystic Falls might be getting a little full at this point, but if they keep bringing on the uber-vamps like Miss Pearl, I don't think I will mind too much.

Runner-up: Anthony's return on Project Runway. Although it meant losing Maya (who surprisingly quit) his entrance brought back a ray of sun that I was worried we would never see again. Not only did he get to come back, he won the challenge. If you are gonna come back, come back big, and no one came back bigger than Anthony.

Missed Moment: I always try to see the Ten Commandments as an Easter tradition, but unfortunately some last minute errands kept me away. Oh well, that's what DVD's are for.

Big Bang Theory Gang in Superheroine Drag

Ever wondered what the Big Bang gang would look like in female superhero drag? Well look no further. Click here. All I can say is they couldn't have picked a more perfect Catwoman. They give Halle Berry a run for her money if there is every a sequel (of course I am kidding about the sequel. No one wants that.)

Happy Easter

HAPPY EASTER!  TAKING A BREAK FOR TODAY. SEE YA'ALL SOON

Blast From the Past: Galaxy High

Now, I'm going to admit something that might come as quite a shock to some people: I was a big nerd in school. I'm proud of it now, but back then I was ashamed. That's why underdog stories involving nerds always kept a small place in my heart, and Galaxy High was no exception. For those that remember this 80's cartoon, the plot centered around Amy and Doyle, two Earth students chosen to attend an outer space school named Galaxy High. Amy was your typical unnoticed bookworm, while Doyle was the school stud. However, once they arrived, their lives switched. Amy became a the sweetheart of the school, while Doyle had a hard time making friends. I don't think it lasted very long, however it's one that a lot of people seem to fondly remember, even if they weren't nerds like me. Check out the intro below, or if you can't see it, click here.

Fun fact: One of the writers has become a famous director, whose credits include one of the most beloved film series of all time. Wanna know who, click here.

Project Runway Recap: Hello Anthony!

Last time we said good-bye to Anthony, but this week brought a nice surprise. On with the recap.

Seth Aaron remarks that things are definitely quieter without Anthony, and you know what, it really does look that way.  They seem too calm in the men's apartment. Where's the singing and loud, third person references? On the womens side, Maya is stressing, and feels that although she has done well, there is still so much for someone her age to learn. I think that takes great strength to recognize something like that. Not everyone is a wonder kid like Christian Soriano, however I do feel Maya did show great potential.

On the runway, Heidi announces that the designers will be working a red carpet look for a very difficult celebrity, which turned out to be none other than Heidi! That would just rack my nerves, and unfortunately for Maya, the pressure became too much. After a long talk with Tim, and the camera showing her empty space while the others were sketching away, Maya became the first designer in project runway history to  quit the show. All the designers are stunned, as is the audience (well, at least the one in my house.) This means that someone needs to be brought back in order to even the playing field. Guess who?????? Lets just say the third person references are back in full force. Time wise, all the designers are stressing, and Jonathon even redid his dress three times.

At the runway, the designers are treated to a celebrity judge: Jessica Alba. I''m not a fan of her acting, but fashion wise, this girl is usually flawless. Everyone seems happy with their work (save Jonathon, but that was to be expected. Anthony and Emilio end up in the top two, while Mila, Seth Aaron, Jay and Jonathon are left at the bottom, with Jay and Jonathon deemed the worst. In a surprise twist, we get not one, but two winners in Emilio and Anthony, and Jonathon gets auf'd.

My thoughts: I'm so happy Anthony came back. He brings a certain amount of levity that cuts through the bitchy, making the drama bearable. I also wasn't a fan of the mermaid dress Emilio created, but I'm not the one who was going to wear it, Heidi is, so it really doesn't matter what I think. What do you think? Did the right person go home? Were you sad to see Maya go? Were you happy to have Anthony back?

Charlie Sheen off of Two and a Half Men????

Straight from People: Charlie Sheen Leaving Two and a Half Men

According to the article, sources say Sheen's contract is up this season, and he has decided not to renew. The reason: he is just done. Men is the current top-rated sitcom, and it is still unclear if the show will continue without him. CBS has yet to make a statement, claiming that they do not comment on contract issues. However, a source close to the show stated that negotiations are still going on, and nothing has been decided yet. This is yet another challenge in a very rocky year for both Sheen and Men, which includes production being halted earlier this year due to Sheen's stint in rehab after his alleged domestic violence charge.

If this is true, I really don't think the show can go on without him. Not that I don't believe in Jon Cryer's talent, but the whole point of the show is the dynamic between the two. Take away one brother, and you really don't have much left. However, if Sheen needs the time to get his act together, then maybe that is for the best. I just feel for all those behind the scenes that will be affected if the show gets canceled. Hopefully they will all be able to find something else if the show does cease.

True Blood's Anna Paquin: "I'm Bisexual"

Anna Paquin, True Blood's Sookie for all you fangbangers, is featured in a PSA in which she declares she is bi-sexual and "Gives a damn." She is joined by such celebrities as Elton John, Whoopi Goldberg, and Cyndi Lauper in a campaign for Lauper's True Colors Foundation, which helps to promote equality. Whether or not it's true, it's nice to see her participating, since I am sure a big chunk of True Blood's audience is from the GLBT community. Take a look at the spot for yourself.

My Top VILF's of All Time

Always one to jump on a bandwagon, I decided to make a list of top VILF's from film and television. Warning, the list contains both Females AND Males, so the squeamish should stop reading right now. Just thought I would let you know.

6. Drake (Dominic Purcell)- Blade:Trinity

Okay, so in his true vampire form, he isn't that hot. But in human form....well that's a different story.

5. Selene (Kate Beckinsale)- Underworld, Underworld:Evolutions

Dressed in black leather and armed from head to toe, Selene produces a sexiness that is both sensitive and exciting.

4. Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder)- The Vampire Diaries

It's the smile in this bad boy vamp that brings him to VILF status: both sweet and sinister, it's a hard look to resist.

3. Queen Akasha (Aaliyah)-Queen of the Damned

There may be something about bad boy Vamps,  but no one can deny that bad girl vamps are equally sexy and very, very dangerous.

2. Eric Northam(Alexander Skarsgard)- True Blood

It's one thing to be a bad boy vamp. It's another to be one with a heart, which Eric shows in brief glimpses every now and then.

1. Angel (David Boreanez) -Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel

The ultimate brooding Vampire (Sorry Stefan and Edward, but he hit the screen first), our favorite Vampire with a soul managed to be sensitive without coming across as wimpy.

So what do you think? Do you agree or disagree? Who did I leave out?

True Blood's VILF Poster

Well, they finally put it up on HBO.com. I'm actually starting to like it, but I still prefer the Cup of Joe poster. What do you think? Also, just for fun, which Vamp is your VILF?

American Idol Elimination: And then there were 9

Well, I've been reluctant to talk about Idol, since I sang the praises of Tim Urban, only to have him give a bizarre performance the following week. And it's only been downhill from there. What can I say? I'm a very proud man. Well, this time around Tim found himself in the bottom 3 yet again, along with Didi Benami and Katie Stevens. Luckily for Tim, some tweens out there still find him adorable, and he was saved yet again, with Didi becoming the unfortunate one to go home.

Do you think America got it right? Or has Tim Urban finally reached the heights last touched by Sanjaya?

True Blood's VILF Poster

Saw the new one off of TVGuide.com. I'm not sure if it's official, since it wasn't on the HBO website, but I'm going to check Facebook just to be sure. Basically it's a red background with the word "VILF" spelled out in white. For those that aren't sure what that means, place an "M" where the "V" is and use your imagination. To view a sample of it, click here. Honestly, I prefer the Cup of Joe poster better.

Glee's Open Auditions

Attention all Gleek's: Do you think you have what it takes to join New Directions? Then submit your audition online in Glee's open casting call. Professionals and amateurs between the ages of 16-26 are encouraged to audition for new roles that are coming up for the second season.  For more information, click here.

Dancing with the Stars First Elimination

I am in shock. I still don't know what to say. I've always known it was a popularity contest more than a dance competiton, but I still would have thought that even Shannon Doherty would have had a bigger fan base than Kate Gosselin. But somehow, someway, Kate is still in the running, even after having not one but two disastrous dances. It's not that I would have wanted her to go first (okay, I did) but Shannon wasn't even the worst of the pack. If people were voting on skill, then Chad, Aiden, and Buzz would have been in greater danger. Oh well, I guess that's the kind of drama that makes great T.V. Or at least cheesy entertainment. What do you think? Did Shannon deserve to go? Or should it have been Kate?

My So You Think You Can Dance All-Star List

In light of the big changes for So You Think You Can Dance that are coming, I decided to put in my two cents about who I would like to see return as an all-star. Do you agree?

1. Ivan-Season Two: The young hip-hopper grew immensely during his season, and it would be nice to see if that growth has continued after the show.

2. Sabra-Season Three Winner: She seems to be the one that is never mentioned, so I would like to see her brought back if only to know what happened to her.

3. Neil - Season Three: If they are bringing back all-stars, then wouldn't it be interesting if they had them re-do their best dances. If that is the case, then I'd love to see Neil come back and try the table number (which he did with Sabra) again with someone else. Well, and to see that glide over the table again.

True Blood Sneak Peek: Sam is in Trouble

In this teaser video from HBO, it appears Sam has found himself at the end of a gun. But who is at the other side? Like the video says, waiting sucks!

New Changes for So You Think You Can Dance

Hmmm, just read this off of TVGuide.com: Big Changes at So You Think You Can Dance

When I saw the link, I immediately hoped that they were going back to rotating the 3rd judge (No offense to the Shank, but I miss seeing Debbie Allen show up on occasion) but alas, that was not the case. Instead they are going to from having a top 20 to only having a top 10, with one dancer going home each week. I know what you are thinking, cause I thought the same too: won't that make a really fast season? Well, it appears that each new dancer will be paired with a former all-star contestant. That means we actually have the possibility of  Travis, Benji, Dominic, Twitch and such grace the stage again instead of choreographing (or maybe both.)

I don't know about this, since part of the appeal is having an unknown rise to superstar status. But it will be fun to see some favorites again. I can't deny that. What do you all think? Does this sound like a good idea? Also, who would you like to see return?

Mayim Bialik to Play Sheldon's Love Interest on Big Bang

Get out your pads and pencils, Mayim Bialik (Blossom) is set to guest star on the Big Bang Theory as Victoria, a potential love interest for Sheldon. The duo will have a date on the season finale after meeting on an online dating site, with Bialik possibly returning next season.

For my thoughts on Sheldon in a relationship, click here. In short, I was never really in favor of putting Sheldon in any type of romantic setting, since I thought it would take away from his bewilderment of human interaction. However, since they are putting Bialik's Victoria as the female Sheldon, it would be interesting to see how he reacts to someone as anal as him, and whether or not he would even notice.  That is something I would love to see.

My DVR Moment of the Week

My DVR Moment of the Week comes from The Big Bang Theory, which provided not one but two memorable moments: Sheldon fighting off his stage fright with alcohol (thanks to a helpful Penny) and the aftermath of learning your escapades landing you on youtube (which has become a big fear of mine, so now I'm extra careful of what I do in public.)

Runner up: Spartacus is forced to put a sword on his friend Varro in Spartacus:Blood and Sand. Though it's far from a masterpiece, this show has upped game a bit and actually was able to put a surprise in there, which for a jaded viewer like myself, is very hard to do.

Project Runway: Bye Bye Anthony

I know I made a big fuss when Jesse was auf'd a few weeks ago, but I really do think the judges got it wrong this time. Maybe I am basing this on personality more than talent, but no one can deny that a little spark left this week, and although there are is some bitchiness left in the mix (I do mean that in a good way) it just won't be the same.

The Challenge: Design your own print.

Using those wonderful HP tablets (I am still soooooo jealous) the remaining designers were asked to design their own print which would then be transferred into their own fabric. I don't think that's ever been done before on Runway, it was really neat to see the combination of fashion and technology (a connection I would have never made on my own.) There were some interesting choices, such as Jonathon's, Anthony's and Mila's, some bizarre (Emilio's "branding" of his initials. I almost died when Tim Gunn asked if the SA stood for Seth Aaron)and others were rather bold (Mya, who is still reeling from not having won a challenge)

On the runway, the judges admired Seth Aaron's and Mya's prints, while totally falling in love with Emilio's gamble. Jonathon, Mila, and Anthony disappointed, and ended up in the bottom three.

Winner: Emilio
Out: Anthony

I can't say I'm not surprised, but I am disappointed. I know that playing it safe is never a good thing, but you have to admit that Anthony seemed to create pieces that could easily be worn by anyone off the street. Perhaps that didn't show growth in the judges eyes, and as Mila put it,  it might be difficult when creating a collection. On the flip side, Jonathon always seemed to go over the top, and even when going simple as with his print, it still came across as too conceptual. I guess the judges had to go with who they felt could make a Bryant park collection, and someone with vision will always over take simplicity. However, if you wanted to go with who totally bombed on the challenge, as it should be, then the one that should have gone home was Mila. Her print was boring and did not reflect what the challenge was about. Plus, the construction was horrible, and didn't even allow her model to walk properly down the runway. But I'm not Michale Corr's, so I can't send her home. (Though I do like to think I am just as quippy.)

Although he kept things lively, I was getting a little annoyed at all the third person references (I think I stopped counting around 5) but I am still sad to see him go. I'm pretty sure this isn't the last we will hear from Anthony.

True Blood's Cup of Joe Poster

Attention all fang bangers: In order to help us desperate for June to come, the creators have started a poster campaign that will feature 12 new designs over a period of 12 consecutive weeks. Each poster can be found on True Bloods Facebook Page, HBO.com, or on various other sites. The first features a coffee pot full with blood, cleverly titled "Nothing Like a Good Cup of Joe." Click here to see the first poster.

What do you think? Does the poster make you want summer to come faster? Or is it just okay?

Vampire Diaries Returns Tonight

In honor of the return of the Vampire Diaries, I decided to do a power ranking of the my favorite characters, each with some pro's and con's. Let us begin:

5. Caroline: The Brat with a Heart of Gold (well, possibly)
Pro: Caroline does tend to get a lot of good lines, and is often able to do favors for Damon that only humans can do.
Con: She's often used as the one Damon can manipulate, and it all seems just a bit too easy. I'd love to see what would happen if she ever told him no.

4. Bonnie - The Witch
Pro: She is really coming into her own as a witch, and I enjoy how they are making it kind of gradual.
Con: Sometimes gradual can be a little too gradual. I do wanna see just a tad more, but not too much.

3. Damon - The Bad Boy Vamp
Pro: Damon is a terrific character, with so many shades to his ever growing appeal. He can make you hate him one moment, while letting out a gentle sigh the next.
Con: Sometimes I feel they are a bit schizophrenic with his character, one moment he seems so sweet, and then bam, he's evil again. But of course, that is part of the appeal.

2. Stefan - The Sensitive Vamp
Pro: At first he seemed kind of a wimpy bore, but the writer's have shown his strong, devoted side, which finally turned him into the heartthrob we all knew he could be.
Con: A little angst can sometimes go a long way.

1. Elena - The Love
Pro: At first she also seemed like someone trapped in her own angst, but Elena has quickly evolved into a very spunky spit-fire. She may be surrounded by supernatural things she doesn't understand, you won't see her just lie back and take it.
Con: The Katherine scenes (which I LOVE) sometimes overshadow the Elena ones. Not that I'm complaining.

So what do you think of the list? Do you agree or disagree? Comment away!

Question the day: 3/19/2010

Did Lacey deserve to go home on American Idol, or should it have been Tim or Paige?

Paula Abdul will not host Star Search

Once again, I and a bunch of others have jumped the gun: Talks to have Paula Abdul host/judge a reboot of Star Search have ended, with the former Idol judge no longer attached. This leaves the fate of the reboot in question, since the show was to be built around her.

NBC Reboots Original Apprentice

Found this off of TVGuide.com: NBC Reboots Original Apprentice

Now, anyone who knows me knows that I hate when that word is just thrown around (like the recent announcement of a Vacation reboot) and this is not an exception. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but can you really reboot something that is still on the air. If that's the case, then Desperate Housewives did the same thing with it's jump into the future. What I do like about the idea is that they are going to use people who have been affected by the recession, and who really need something to help them jump start their lives. Is this the best way? Maybe not, but sometimes people need to resort to this sort of thing. As long as we don't get another Omarosa in the mix, I think all will be well (No offense to the lady, but overexposure always has a price).

My Top 2 True Blood Characters to Go

In a previous post, I mentioned that Alan Ball teased that a major character was going to die this season on True Blood, so I thought I would take it upon myself to make a few guesses as to who that just might be. Since I tend to be very fond of the residents of Bon Temps, it was very hard for me to do so. Plus, I haven't read the books yet, so any possible spoilers are lost on me, but I've been told the show sometimes takes some detours, so we can't necessarily count on them all the time. But alas, after much torture, here are my top choices:

1. Arlene, played by Carrie Preston. I read that she is going to guest star on several episodes of The Good Wife, and that her character is not featured too much in the third book, so that makes her the most logical choice.  But logic sometimes doesn't pan out in the True Blood universe, so there is a strong chance I could be wrong.

2. Jessica, played by Deborah Ann Woll. Don't get me wrong. I love this character, and the Hoyt/Jessica storyline struck a stronger chord with me than Sookie and Bill. But if Godric taught us anything is that many strong characters can be brought in only to be taken away. Plus, the final scene with her feeding off the trucker makes me believe that a trip to the darkside is near, and she may have to be put down (wouldn't it be something if it was by Hoyt?)

What do you think?  Do they seem to be the best choices, or am I totally off?

Lacey Brown is first top 12 Idol to go

24 year-old Laci Brown was the first of the top 12 to be sent home on American Idol, after receiving the least amount of votes and failing to win the judges save, as well as allowing fellow bottom two/roommate Paige Miles to remain in the competition. The save is used in order to give a chance for the person with the lowest votes to be brought back by the judges. Last year the hopeful Idol was asked to redo the song that placed them in the bottom two. This year they were allowed to choose from any song that was performed this season. Brown chose "The Story" by Brandi Carlile, which has been considered one of her best, however it was not enough to persuade the panel.

What do you think? Did the right person go home? Comment below.

Paula Abdul's New Gig

Paula Abdul will be returning to T.V., and she will once again headline a talent competition. According to EW's Michael Ausiello, Abul is set to star in a reboot (that word again) of Star Search, the ultimate competition/talent show hosted by Ed McMahon. Her role has yet to be defined, however according to the article, she will do a combination of judging/hosting. ABC has yet to comment.

This isn't the first time Star Search was brought back to network T.V. CBS tried in 2003 with Arsenio Hall as the host, but was ultimately canceled in 2004.

True Blood's Season 3 Return Date

Get ready Fangbangers, True Blood is set to return this summer on June 13th. Now (and I mean for those of us who haven't read the books. I know, but I'm gonna get around to it!) we will finally know who was behind the abduction of Bill, and if Hoyt can bring Jessica back from the dark side. Okay, that last one is my personal hope, but I know a lot of others want to know the same thing.

Alan Ball has also teased that a major character will die this season. I hate when they say stuff like that, and it turns out to be the guest villain or something like that. However, in the world of Bon Temps, anything is possible. Anybody wanna take a guess as to who it can be? My guess will be Arlene, only because Carrie Preston is set to guest star on multiple episodes of The Good Wife as part of Peter's legal team. I guess we will all have to tune in and see.

My DVR Moment of the Week

This week goes to American Idol's Michael Lynche for continuing (imo) to dominate the men. His performance was very moving, and really showed that unique balance of talent and performance that should be required of all Idols.

Want more American Idol videos? Click here.

Runner Up: Gabrielle Carteris  on this weeks Criminal Minds. Though the episode was normal CM antics (crazy person abducts, the team assembles a profile, they spring into action before it's too late) what distinguishes this one is the former original 90210 cast member utters the line "I was in high school once," while driving with her daughter in the car. If that isn't a nod, I don't know what is.

Missed Moment: J'Lo on How I Met Your Mother. I've heard both good and bad things, but for anyone that reads this, you know I always like to see for myself.

Michael Lynche's Song Choice

After watching Michael Lynche's performance again, I kept thinking to myself that I have heard this song before on T.V., but just couldn't place where. Then it hit me: On So You Think You Can Dance, Melissa and Ade danced an extraordinary piece by Tyce Diorio to that same song by Maxwell.  In my opinion, the dance Melissa and Ade did is one of the best in the shows history, and Lynche's take was by far my favorite this season. It just goes to show you what the power one awesome piece of music can bring out in someone, be they a dancer or signer. All future Idol contestants (and even the current ones) should take note of that.

Question of the Day 3/11/2010

With shows such as reboots of V, Melrose Place and 90210 on the air,  and Hawaii Five-O and The Rockford Files on the way, have we lost the ability to come up with anything original?

Blast From the Past: Rubrik The Amazing Cube

A few weeks ago, Seth McFarlane (Family Guy) made a reference to an 80's cartoon called Rubrik The Amazing Cube on Real Time with Bill Maher. Now, I like to think of myself as a T.V. aficionado, but it appeared that after much thought, I just could not place this one. Luckily we have youtube, however even after watching the intro. I still only have a vague idea of the show. Hopefully you all will have better luck than I did. Anyone remember it?

American Idol's Top 12 Revealed

Another week, another set of eliminations. Before we get to that, let me just say that I have got to hand it to Tim Urban. I know that in a previous post I had reported that he had failed to impress the judges, but for the past couple of weeks he has really taken their criticism to heart and used it to improve. This week, he was even able to handle a difficult song (Hallelujah, which some people might fondly remember from the first Shrek movie) and even made it his own. He might have taken the night had it not been for Michael Lynch and his take on This Woman's Work. It would be interesting to see if Urban can make it all the way. Next week is Rolling Stone's Week. I don't know whether to be delighted, or to shudder. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The Four Going Home:

Alex Lambert
Todrick Hall
Katelyn Epperly
Lilly Scott

The Remaining Twelve:

Didi Benami
Siobhan Magnus
Paige Miles
Casey James
Tim Urban
Lee Dewyze
Crystal Bowersox
Michael Lynche
Lacey Brown
Aaron Kelly
Katie Stevens
Andrew Garcia

Twilight Saga: Eclipse Trailer

I'm sure you've probably seen it already, but just in case, here is the trailer for Eclipse, the new chapter of the Twilight Saga. To be honest, I was a little disappointed with New Moon, so I hope that filmmakers have learned from this and fix the many problems it had (which in my opinion, had nothing to do with Taylor Lautner, so they can leave him as is, and not for the reasons you are thinking, you naughty bunch you.)

Betty White Set to Host SNL May 8th

Get the DVR's ready people, Betty White is set to host Saturday Night Live on May 8th in a special mother's day episode, according to TVGuide.com. She will be joined by Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch (but unfortunately, no Cheri Oteri, any one know what's happened to her?) in what I hope will be a knockout episode.

One thing I found interesting while reading the article is that White has been asked to host on three different occasions by Lorne Michaels, but refused. "It's so New York, and I'm not New York at all," White stated, "But my agent said he'd divorce me if I didn't do it, and I love my agent." I, for one, am glad she changed her mind.

In honor of this event, and to prepare, I have decided to share some clips I found of Betty White at her best. Enjoy!!!

One of My Favorite Golden Girls Scenes
Granted, it's not exclusively White, but it shows just how well she can play a character, and how she makes a great ensemble player.

My Favorite Corey Haim Movies

Here are the theatrical trailers from 3 of my favorite Corey Haim Movies that I found on youtube:

Lucas

License to Drive

The Lost Boys

Corey Haim Dies at age 38

Corey Haim, star of Lucas, the Lost Boys, and most recently the Two Corey's, has been declared dead in a Burbank hospital at age 38, according to the TVGuide article I read. Haim is best known for his collaborations with fellow actor Corey Feldman, who appeared together in such movies as the Lost Boys, License to Drive, and Dream a Little Dream. Haim struggled with substance abuse, however a cause of death has not been determined.

I am very saddened by this. Lucas is one of my all time favorites, and he was great in the role. Same can be said for the Lost Boys, which showcased his natural charm. My condolences to his friends and family.

Update: EW is reporting that Haim died of an accidental overdose.
Update: TVGuide is also stating that it was an overdose.
Update: Cory Feldman's reaction: "This is a Tragic Loss"

Big Bangs Sheldon vs. American Dad's Roger: Who Makes The Better Gollum

In the past couple of weeks we have seen two parodies of  Lord of the Rings on T.V. First came American Dad, who used an Olympic Gold Medal owned by Roger as the ring, and on The Big Bang Theory, which had the gang fight over a prop from the movie. Naturally, someone had to play the scene-stealing Gollum, and who better than scene-stealers Sheldon and Roger. Take a look at their different takes, and comment on which one you thought was better. I found them both funny, but the sight of Sheldon in full Gollum make-up had me crawling on the floor.

Betty White cofirms she will be on SNL

Sometimes dreams do come true. Betty White confirmed that she will be on SNL, but did not give any details as to when or if she will serve as host. According to the article I read, NBC has yet to issue a statement as well. I'm just happy that all the fans that joined the petition were heard!!!!

Oscar Omission of Farrah Fawcett Explained

If you were like me, you probably caught that the Oscar In Memoriam segment included a nod to Michael Jackson (who did star in The Wiz and his recent concert film This is It), and like many, probably thought it was kind of sweet that he was there. However, the next day, it was reported that there were some glaring omissions, most notably Farrah Fawcett and Bea Arthur. This lead many to wonder just how something like that could happen, especially in the case of Fawcett, who had a good amount of film credits. Unfortunately, the answer from the Academy probably won't please many: According to Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences executive director Bruce Davis, there were just too many people to fit in the short segment, and he felt that Fawcett was better known for her T.V. work, and would be better suited to be honored at the Emmy's. When asked why Jackson was included, David said it was because he starred in a recent popular movie.

I don't want to take anything away from Michael Jackson (since I am a huge fan of his music), but if that argument that Farrah Fawcett and others were left out because they were better known for their T.V. work, then shouldn't the same be said for Jackson, since he was, in fact, more known for his music than anything else. In fact, if you look at the segment again, everyone has a label such as writer or actor, and when Jackson's name comes up, nothing. Not even singer or musician.  I really don't think there was any huge conspiracy going on, I just feel that in this case, it was a matter of poor judgement. Hopefully there'll be a little more care taken in the future. To that end, I will say I am glad they did include Jackson, in case people thought otherwise. I just wish they hadn't left some others out.
