True Blood Casting News

I was very excited to hear about Alfre Woodard being cast as Lafayette's mom on True Blood, and now it seems he will have a love interest as well. According to the Reuters article I read on Yahoo, Kevin Alejandro(Southland, Ugly Betty), will play Jesus, an orderly taking care of Woodards' character. I have enjoyed his work since his role in Ugly Betty, and feel he will fit in with the other residents in Bon Temps. In the case of Woodard, I love her too, but hope she isn't wasted on here like she was on Desperate Housewives, being limited to interaction with only a few characters. She is too wonderful an actress for that kind of treatment to repeat itself.
