I'm hoping this will put to rest any rumors that have been floating around about Brittany Murphy: Autopsy: No Illegal Drugs Found in Brittany Murphy
According to the article, there was no evidence of alcohol or drug abuse, and her body was well developed. They did find traces of over the counter medications in her system, although the article states they are used in the treatment of a cold or other respiratory infection.
Given the climate that we live in, which thrives on gossip (one to which I am sadly taken in by sometimes), I'm sure there will still be some talk of an overdose. Let's just hope informed minds prevail.
