Francis Reid, known to millions of soap opera fans as Alice Horton, has passed away. She was 95 years old. Reid, who initially turned down the role of Alice, appeared since the premiere in 1965 until 2007. Her other credits include As The World Turns and Edge of Night.
It's always sad to hear about landmark characters passing away, especially one such as Reid. She was basically the mother/grandmother everyone wanted to have. She will be missed.
